Examine the Open Framework for Accelerated Grid Research being developed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory with NI and other key collaborators. It includes a large-scale real-time FPGA-based grid simulator, real-time “digital twin” co-simulation and machine learning capabilities in CompactRIO for continuous data-driven model development, and a Time Sensitive Networking-empowered software-defined grid for network microgrid and advanced distributed energy resource integration research.
